Please take us home!
Hey Melbunnies!

So, as a doll noob, I'd love to meet up with other doll peoples and their resin hordes! Are there any plans for a Melbourne meet up in January? If not, can there be? :D?

I'm happy to organise, or help organise, as long as people remember that I am a rank noob. I think a neat place to meet up would be the Botantical Gardens if its not to rainy/hot, or maybe Melbourne Central if it is? I have read that other Melb meetups were held in Central.

Lemme know your thoughts! Cross post this to the Faireground.

:D

Also, thanks to those who responded to my last post. Since then I've paid for my first doll (Doll-Love 1/4 God-Enjoy), and I'm beginning the waiting game >_

A newbie with questions!

So just recently I realised that I wanted a ball jointed doll. and thus began my epic quest to find out all I could before dropping a bazillion dollars on a doll!

I've been trying to register at Den Of Angels, but no luck there, as they seem to be having server problems, so I thought I would ask you guys, since you know, I'm Australian in Melbourne and all, and also, unlike other lj bjd comms this one seems active! :)

I think I want a Bobobie 1/4 sized doll, either a Sprite or Mei, but I have also been looking at various Angel of Dream 1/3 girls.

Does anyone have any experience with these dolls?

Also, if nothing else, could you reccomend a good newbie's female doll, preferably 1/4 sized?

Hahah, also, hell I'd just like to talk dolls. Gimme some good Australian based newbie advice! Warn me off and/or encourage me!

I am currently trying to force two of my best friends to become interested, but no dice. Though one of them likes action figures a lot, and is a proper artist, so she'll at least help me when I do eventually get my doll and start the scary journey of doing it all myself!

If I'm going to find this anywhere, it'll be LJ!

My sisters used to watch a movie in the eighties that came on tv every year around Christmas. They think the plot went something like this: seven princesses are going to a boarding school, and the headmaster turns them into pears. They remain pears until seven princes come along and pick them. Any idea what movie they're talking about? Thanks!
