Mainly for the song 'hand that feeds'. After the clean cut nature and narative of year zero (it was made with the idea of what would happen if armagedon hit), with teeth feels ...disjointed. ....not thats a bad thing. it makes me want to pick it apart more and sort though it. the one thing that i am well and truly pissed of about however is that it has no lyrics pamphlet.

Not. Happy. Jan.

one of the main reasons that i still buy cds over mp3s/downloads (leagal or not) is that you get a shiny little book of love that has all the lyrics printed out. I am extreamly good at miss hearing lyrics so the little pamphlet of love offten confirms or corects and helps me understand the song better.

so i was not happy when i opened up my sealed cd to discover that it had no pamphlet.

regardless, aside from 'hand that feeds' other tracks that stand out are 'everyday is exsactly the same' and 'only'. there's two other tracks i like but i've been listening to the cd while driving so i cant see the track list.

I was suposed to go running with my little sister this morrning at 9am. but its now 10.05am and no sings of life. oh well.

its also grand final day. GO CATS!!!

The new dojo's grand opening is tomorrow, which is very exsiting.

Work is crap. i'm doing on average around 2 hours of unpaid over time a day. which has me bolting for the train most afternoons trying to make it to training on time. and because i'm constantly rushing my bedroom looks like a bomb hit it. which is driving me nuts 'cause i don't like mess. that and we haven't passed room inspections for some thing like three months. blugh.

I'm thinking of getting a Hoo head for Sebastian. The U head is never in stock and I'm sick of waiting. I'll just have to make it work.

And Alice in Chains in the proses of make and very awasome play list as the rage guest programers, which so far gose :heart shaped box by nirvana, the pretender by the foo fighters, tribute by tenasious D and devils hair cut by beck.

enough from me.

rock on kiddies, rock on.

He's over 60 now days and still puts all the energy into that would make men half his age envious.

The hole thing was loud, devious, mildly psycotic, rather cheesy and a little unseteling yet entertaining and fun. Delightfuly dark sence of humor dose me cooper have.

And sooooo much of his musice sounds so much better live. hearing the drumbeat going for 'Schools out' in that setting was awsome. It also gave me a better apreaciation for some of his quiter songs like 'only women blead' and 'i never cry'. Something about the coop just dosen't translate to recorings that well.

And he had some of the most fantastic jackets and hats. i want to mug him a couple of times..... wich would have not been a good idea due to hime being armed with some for of weaponry for about 40% f the time. mmmm ....sword. ...

During 'Durty diamonds' he flung necklaces into the audiance, teaseing one person in the front row by pretneding to give the necklace to them then finginging it last second to the sides. there were also ballons filled with water thown into the audience. He died 4 times, guilotie, leathtal injection, and hanging....cant remember the fourth one for some reason....

only problem, once again was tall people infront of me, and the fact that i'm short. Whatever you opinion of the content of his paintings, his tecnique was/is near flawless! Seriously, barly a brush stroke visable and nearly photograpic in quility.

One of the highlights of was a 7 minute animation he did with Walt Disney. Yes, Watl Disney. Aprently Dahli sore fantasia and it inspired him. Long story short Disney got cold feet. It wasnt seen again until around 2005(?). It was freaken stunning! Weried, but stunning. I NEED to find a copie somewhere.

Also Dahli worked with Alfred Hitchcock and Alice Cooper among meny other people.

there was only onedraw back....

NGV was PACKED with people making it at times imposible to veiw the art work. And concidering the exhibition filed something like five or six rooms thats a fair amount of people.

there was so much art work there that i want to go back and try and have another look. i think kiz want to come along this time.

okay now for work...

Dear people who are going to be guests in a hotel,

Our rooms have 3 rubish bins in them. please LEARN HOW TO USE THEM. Then he got more right. as hamish said he did more in the first round then he had the last three times he had been on. it was rather spectacular.

anyway. onward to art work and kniting.

I've seen someone break their shin on Dean's knee before. But its just badly bruised, but ironicaly the brusing isn't showing up. Alot of it I can understand, but house keeping at the moment is over worked, getting sick, vertualy no budget left and dosent have the time to get everything done that she wants. Though its seemed to be settled for the moment. Our room rates have been compleatly inconsistant and jumping alover the place going from two departures on day to 11 the next. blugh

The busness is crawling along, a glass topped table all weilded up and just needing sand blasting and a paint job, and a display stand/side table and a flower pot stand started it looks like i may eventaly get this thing off of the ground.

anyway, off to more unpacking and cleaning.

The high winds are pushing all the fires past containment lines. As far as I know no one I know is near any of the fires. Thought there is one near to Ballarat. Hopefully that wont get any closer. I have a cousin that lives there.

Sydney has had fires started by an arsonist.

And Ingam in Queensland is underwater due to flooding.

Seriously crazy.

and scary.

very scary.

Take care all you fire fighters out there.
welcome home care bear.

blugh, i can always think of stuff to crap on about at work but by the time i get home i'm too buggered to remember it coherently. being sleepy dosen't help.
*sigh*

11th january

and so it begins... scripts, mythos and other asorted bits for lord quake's comic. all i need to do is draw it....
12th January

yet another day of work.....then bed. how exciting...

13th january

current bookage....Garth Nix, the seventh tower sereis book five:into battle. its a short book. need to go to big W and get what i think is the last one...

14th January

new lindt chocolate... mmm taist. though for some reason i'm not overly excited about lindt's dark chocolate. not balenced enough i think. ...
15thjanuary(today as it happens to be.... or is it????)

the spot cat. we've seemed to slipped in to pattern for our 'quolity time', being that i sit in the arm chair and watch tv and he sits on the arm of the chair and purs at me. its a rather cosy arangement.

an i have just finished voting in the triple j hottest 100. mainly because i want the golden ticket. The lucky winner gets a double pass to every single triple j suported gig this year. so far the gigs i want to go to are triple j suported. i have my fingers crossed but i'm not holding my breath.

still saving for sound wave. and moving. and the world cup next year.... and a hole shit load of other things...blugh. i need to win the lotto. stupid low paying job *kicks it*
